Johnson Undergoes Surgery

| August 30, 2005
Team Suzuki Flat Track/Parts Unlimited’s Jake Johnson underwent surgery on Sunday, August 28, to repair the compound fracture suffered to his left arm in a crash at the Sedalia Half Mile on August 27. Johnson will likely miss the remainder of the 2005 season, according to his team.

Johnson was released from Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, on August 29, after surgeons placed 12 screws and two plates in the arm. Johnson plans on being at Springfield, Illinois for the doubleheader there this weekend to support the rest of the Team Suzuki Flat Track squad.

While Johnson is out, Southern California GNC Expert Jimmy Wood has been recruited to race Johnson’s bikes at both the Springfield Short Track and Springfield Mile.
