The following release if from Brian Deegan’s publicist…

Freestyle Moto pioneer and phenomenom, Brian Deegan sustained life-threatening injuries last Thursday afternoon during the filming of a segment for the Viva La Bam show which airs on MTV. An accelerated blow to the midsection from Deegan’s handlebars caused internal injuries that included an arterial tear, significant blood loss and the subsequent removal of one kidney.

Released from a Philadelphia area hospital Wednesday afternoon (May 25th), Deegan flew home to So Cal to begin his recuperation. Prior to his hospital departure he had this to say, “It really was just a freak accident…I’ll take some time off to heal but look forward to being back on my bike in time for Summer X Games…maybe running the Supermoto race or doing some commentary work.”

Messages and well wishes can be sent directly to Brian at mulishahq@metalmulisha.com.
