Carmichael Picks It Up

Practice for tomorrow’s opening round of the National MX Series at Hangtown is now over and Ricky Carmichael finished it up by posting the quickest time in the second session. He was nearly a full second faster than James Stewart. On a rougher track, Carmichael laid down a 2:29.386 and Stewart a 2:30.270. Chad Reed finished off his day third quickest with a 2:30.853.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Grant Langston stepped it up in the second session, as well, clicking off the fastest 125-class time with a 2:32.714. Honda-mounted Mike Brown was second quickest with a 2:33.213 and KTM’s Mike Alessi was third quickest with a 2:33.626.

Suzuki’s Davi Millsaps and Ryan Hughes were sixth and seventh quickest, respectively, in the 125 class.
