Former Dirt Track Racer Passes

According to the Sacramento Bee, Sacramento native and former dirt track racer Paul Albrecht passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 87. In the 1930s and 40s, Albrecht was Nationally ranked in the top 10 for five years and was inducted into the Northern California Sportsmen’s Hall of Fame in 1987.

Albrecht is survived by his sister, Marie; three nieces and seven nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Gormley’s Funeral Home, 2015 Capitol Ave., Sacramento, California.
