Bobby Bonds, from Maricopa, California, has agreed to a two-year deal for 2005 with an option for 2006, to ride for RPM Racing Team, owned by Mike and Sharie Hurlbert of Lynden, Washington. Bobby will race the WORCS and AMA National Hare Scrambles series for RPM, as well as selected GNCC rounds, other special events such as the Elsinore GP and the World Endurocross, and more special races to be announced soon. Bobby’s teammates Maria Forsberg (1st in the ’04 WORCS Women’s A class), John Beal (ISDE Silver Medalist and top 10 WORCS Pro), Travis Krueger (2nd in WORCS 250F A class and Hannegan Speedway Pro Motocross Champion), and Klade Glasgow (PMWMA Canadian Off Road Champion, ISDE Silver Medallist, and ’04 NMA Washington Off-Road series points leader) are very excited to have Bobby join the RPM Racing Team.

“RPM Racing Team is very well positioned for winning some big races and championships in 2005 and beyond,” comments Mike Hurlbert. “We had a terrible thing happen with John Beal’s season-ending injury in a local motocross race, it set us back a bit, but re-affirmed the passion we have for the sport. “John is recovering well and will be back at any position he desires with RPM.

“John, Maria, Travis and Klade helped create the foundation of our team and got us to the level where we clearly offer someone like Bobby Bonds the support and environment he sought in pursuit of his championship goals. I am so proud of all our riders, sponsors and supporters. We welcome Bobby Bonds aboard. Our sponsors and supporters are going to get great value from RPM Racing Team results and exposure.”

“I’m excited to race for Mike and Sharie Hurlbert and looking forward to training, practicing and racing with RPM Racing Team Riders Maria Forsberg, Travis Krueger, John Beal and Klade Glasgow,” Bonds said. “This team is a class act, it’s all done with very little money but a lot of professionalism, hard work and the desire to be the best. Mike Hurlbert knows how to help riders win championships. I want to win races and championships and I firmly believe RPM Racing Team is going to help me be a champion many times over.”
