Poland ISDE Update I

Kit Palmer | September 8, 2004

Our man on the scene in Poland, Steve Berkner, arrived with the rest of the U.S. ISDE team yesterday, and he says that so far everything is going along smoothly, though some of the riders are experiencing the paperwork shuffle and some of the rental bikes are showing up a little late, so, in other words, everything is proceeding normally, just ask any ISDE veteran.

Berkner also reports that the weather is good, perhaps a little on the dry side, and the terrain reminds him of the “Black Hills of South Dakota.” He says that there is plenty of agricultural land and pine-tree forests.

The first official team meeting is set to get underway tonight.

This year’s ISDE is scheduled to start bright and early on Monday, September 13.
