Yamaha’s Barry Hawk was the overall winner at round eight of the AMA FMF Racing National Enduro Series in McArthur, Ohio, last weekend. It was Hawk’s first enduro win of the season, and he nipped defending champion, KTM’s Mike Lafferty be just one point to get it. Hawk dropped 19 points, while both Lafferty and Yamaha’s Randy Hawkins each dropped 20. Hawkins was credited with third overall.

Fourth overall went to Kawasaki rider Steve Hatch with 22 points, while Fred Hoess rounded out the top five overall with 23 points.

With two rounds to go, Hawkins has moved back into the series lead, just six points ahead of KTM’s David Lykke. Lykke suffered a hard get-off during the enduro and ended up finishing seventh overall. Hatch is currently third, 26 points behind Hawkins.

Lafferty has broken into the top 10 in points after missing the first five rounds of the series. He’s now fifth but nearly 100 points behind Hawkins.
