Rodney Smith won the fourth round of the Grand National Cross Country Series in Morganton, North Carolina, yesterday, after making a last-lap pass on Jason Raines, who was leading with two miles to go. Despite repeated attempts by Raines to get back into the lead, Smith, on the Team Suzuki Off-Road RM250, held on to take his second win of the series and extend his series points lead.

Am-Pro Yamaha’s Raines ended up second, followed by Suzuki’s Mike Kiedrowski, Honda-mounted Scott Summers and Throttlehead.com/Kawasaki Team Green’s Steve Hatch.
