Repsol KTM’s one-two punch of Joan Roma (pictured) and Isidre Esteve came away from stage six of the Dakar Rally with their second successive one-two finish. This time it was Roma’s turn to score the stage win, topping his teammate Esteve by two minutes and 25 seconds.

Esteve continues to lead the overall standings with Roma moving into second place. KTM’s Andy Cadecott ended the day in third place.

Pre-race favorite Cyril Despres was fourth best today, four minutes and three seconds behind Roma. The result dropped Despres to third overall, but he is just two minutes nad 37 seconds behind Esteve in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, defending champion Richard Sainct dropped another six minutes by finishing eighth in today’s stage.

Red Bull KTM’s Scot Harden had another good day in stage six, the American team manager finishing 13th to move to 13th in the overall standings. Paul Krause, meanwhile, ended today in 23rd place, jumping to 25th in the overall standings ahead of Larry Roeseler, the off-road racing legend having a tough day as he finished 33rd to end the stage in 26th overall.
