The following is a press release from GNCC Racing:

Morgantown, WV – GNCC Racing has announced that a broken scapula (shoulder) will prevent Kawasaki Team Green veteran Fred Andrews from competing with America’s Team at the 77th annual International Six Day Enduro (ISDE) on November 3-8. His replacement on America’s Team, the U.S. ISDE Trophy Team, is Yamaha’s Barry Hawk.

Hawk, the 2003 GNCC Champion, was named the team’s first alternate in August.

Andrews originally injured the shoulder practicing for the Spartan GNCC one month ago. He waited patiently for the shoulder to heal, but doctors recently discovered a crack in his scapula. He will be unable to ride for several weeks.

Hawk was scheduled to participate in the ISDE on the GNCC Club Team, along with Randy Hawkins and Robbie Jenks. He will now upgrade to the Trophy Team, joining FMF Suzuki riders Rodney Smith and Mike Kiedrowski, KTM’s Mike Lafferty, and fellow Yamaha riders Ty Davis and Jason Raines.
