KTM’s Mike Lafferty captured his fifth win of the year at the eighth round of the AMA/FMF National Championship Enduro Series in Harrison, Michigan, August 10. Finishing right behind Lafferty was a sea of blue, as the next four positions were filled by Yamaha-mounted riders: Barry Hawk, Randy Hawkins, David Lykke and Robbie Jenks. KTM’s Shane Watts finished sixth.

With two rounds left in the series, Lafferty leads the series points battle with 211, followed by Hawkins with 168 and Lykke with 152. Lafferty could clinch the ’03 title at the next round in South Carolina.
