Davis Tops Lake Havasu WORCS

Ty Davis (pictured) was at the right place at the right time to win the third round of the World Off-Road Championship Series (West) in Lake Havasu, Arizona, yesterday. Davis worked his way up from a bad start and was running second when race-leader Lance Smail stalled his bike and struggled to get it restarted. Davis rode around Smail and went on to take the win over Nathan Woods, who had also led the race early on. Russ Pearson ended up third, while Smail got going again to finish fourth overall. The top four riders were all Yamaha-mounted.
Rounding out the top five overall was Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott.
