Ryno to Ride 2003 125cc Nationals

Ryan Hughes, the 2000 Motocross des Nations champ and 1995 125cc National runner-up, spoke about his plans for the upcoming season at the A Day in the Dirt event this past Thanksgiving weekend.

“I’m going to be riding for Red Bull KTM in the 125cc Nationals this year,” he said. “I’ll be wearing No Fear [the team’s new riding gear sponsor] and everything. I’ll just be another member of the team.”

There has been no official announcement from the team just yet, but if his speed and determination aboard a KTM 450 SX at A Day in the Dirt are any indication, Hughes promises to be exciting to watch – like always – as he had a pretty major-looking crash when he teamed with snowboarder turned motocrosser Shaun Palmer in the Stunt GP Team Race on Saturday while tripling a section no one else was tripling – including Jeremy McGrath.

He then returned for the Coupe de Grace on Sunday and came from behind to win after hitting the dirt several times in that race.
