Ty Davis posted his second win in a row in the World Off-Road Championship Series (round three) in Price, Utah, May 26. Davis, piloting a Montclair Yamaha-backed YZ250 two-stroke, took the lead early in the first lap and held the point for the rest of the two-hour race. But Davis could never relax, as Team Suzuki Off-Road’s Mike Kiedrowski, on the Yoshimura DRZ430, chased him the whole race.

After the first lap, Kiedrowski followed Davis by 14 seconds and, at one point, was as close as 10 seconds, but Kiedrowski just couldn’t get any closer than that. After 11 laps around the six-mile course, Davis officially finished 12 seconds ahead of Kiedrowski, and with the victory, moves into the series lead by just two points over the defending WORCS champ, Kiedrowski.

Third in the race went to Montclair Yamaha’s Russell Pearson, also riding a Yamaha YZ250 two-stroke. Pearson finished a little over a minute behind Kiedrowski. Fourth place went to KTM’s Kurt Caselli, while Yamaha rider Nick Pearson rounded out the top five.

Sixth went to KTM’s Brian Garrahan, followed by Suzuki’s Steve Hatch, KTM rider Joey Lanza, and Kawasaki pilots Morgan Crawford and David Pearson
