Paul Malin Calls it Quits

Kit Palmer | December 20, 2000

Great Britain’s Paul Malin recently announced his forced retirement from GP motocross racing. Malin injured his back earlier in the year and despite attempts to return to racing the injury proved too serious for him to continue.

Malin is perhaps best known in the United States for being a member of the winning Great Britain MX des Nations team that put an end to the U.S.’s 13 MXdN win streak in 1994. Malin won the 125cc class that day.

Malin is also the youngest rider to have ever won a motocross grand prix.
