It was too late to do anything about the title, but the Americans finished up the year in style, taking the top two overall positions at the season-ending 125cc World Championship Motocross round in Gaildorf, Germany. Mike Brown was untouchable on his Caterpillar Honda, posting a perfect pair of moto victories on his way to the overall win. He was followed by countryman Trampas Parker, the former World Champion who rides for the Italian TM factory. The top Euro was Englishman Carl Nunn, who notched third overall on his Yamaha YZ125.

As for the powerhouse KTM squad, it suffered the post-title blues in Germany, with new champ Grant Langston and teammate James Dobb taking the seventh and eighth overall positions, respectively.
