Yamaha-mounted Doug Blackwell scored a narrow win over KTM’s Mike Lafferty at the AMA/FMF National Enduro Series round in Wellston, Ohio, June 11.

On a hot and humid day in Ohio, where the outcome was basically decided in the last few miles, Blackwell dropped 51 points to Lafferty’s 54.

Third overall went to Pat Garrahan (KTM), followed by Rich Lafferty (KTM), Craig Holesak (Hus), David Lykke (Yam) and Gene Onail (Kaw).

Yamaha’s Randy Hawkins, who has two wins this year, suffered a DNF with a mechanical failure.

Lafferty, who has won four rounds this year, currently owns the series points lead with 242 points, followed by Hawkins with 192 and Lykke with 140. These points, however, will soon change when the previous Idaho City 2-Day Qualifier/National Enduro points are finally sorted out.
