West Coast Flat Track Series promoter Gene Romero has signed an agreement with e-communications corporation e-moola.com that will see the nine-round West Coast Flat Track Series be known as the e-moola.com West Coast Flat Track Series.
The title sponsorship announcement was made today by Romero and e-moola.com founder and CEO Pete Rovazzini.
“What appeals to us is what the West Coast Flat Track Series is doing at the grassroots level,” Rovazzini said. “I love dirt track racing, and I think that it has needed a sort of Busch Grand National Series [i.e. NASCAR stock cars] for a long time. We’re behind what Gene is doing 100 percent.”
Part of the title sponsorship package will include the posting of an unprecedented $7500 series points fund by e-moola.com, which was founded in 1998 by Rovazzini with the mission of providing the future generation of communication technology, integrating eCommerce, Point of Sale and Digital Media. The company is already a major player in the motorsports world, sponsoring the e-moola.com NHRA funny car owned by Alan Johnson and driven by Bruce Sarver. In the past, Rovazzini sponsored former speedway motorcycle racers Kelly Moran, Phil Collins and Bruce Penhall during their heydays in the sport.
The title sponsorship package is just the thing that Romero has been seeking to bring greater visibility to the West Coast Flat Track Series.
“I couldn’t be happier right now,” Romero said. “I’m happy for the series, and I’m happy for the riders. I have always believed that this is a credible series, and having e-moola.com sign on with us confirms that. We are happy to have them, as this represents another footstep in our growth, and it moves us closer to our goals.”
An added benefit of the sponsorship will come in the creation of the official website for the e-moola.com West Coast Flat Track Series, which will of course be handled by e-moola.com. The site, which will be operational within the next two weeks, will be accessed by typing http://www.westcoastflattrack.com.
The opening round of the e-moola.com West Coast Flat Track Series is scheduled to take place at Mohave Valley Raceway in Mohave, Arizona, on April 29.
