Despite getting pounded by seven inches of rain during the week, track conditions couldn't be much better for tonight's race and the third round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series at Angel Stadium. The Dirt Wurx track crew did a fantastic job protecting and taking care of the Anaheim II track and, after the first practice session, riders were releaved to find the track in ideal conditions."It's actually perfect," said BTOSports.com/BBMX Suzuki's Robert Kiniry who was swapping mud tires for drier-terrain knobs following the first practice. "You really couldn't make it any better if you tried. It's tacky and in good shape."Final timed practice ended about an hour ago and last week's winner Ryan Dungey of the Rockstar/Makita Suzuki team was quickest, followed closely be San Manuel Yamaha's Josh Hill, Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGR Yamaha's Justin Brayton and defending Supercross champ James Stewart, who was obviously not looking 100 percent after his hard fall last week in Phoenix when he collided with Kyle Partridge in a heat race. The San Manuel Yamaha team has been hush-hush and tight-lipped about its star rider, Stewart, but it's quite obvious he is still sore from the crash and is reportedly mostly bothered by his wrist. There's has been some rumors about him not riding tonight, but that does not seem likely at this point. It is assumed he will do the best he can and salvage as many points as possible. We'll know for sure a few hours from now.
